East London Dance in partnership with Vox Novus present:
60x60 LONDON DANCE MIX
featuring among others: Thomas Gerwin "Night Trip"
Modern dance and contemporary composition take on the energetic excitement of a sporting event in the electrifying 60x60 Dance. This is a one-of-a-kind performance, where each minute of the hour features a new composer and a new choreographer: 60 minutes featuring 60 dance pieces set to 60 one-minute compositions. It might sound like a recipe for sensory overload but 60x60 Dance has got pulses racing since 2007 in the U.S and in Canada. Now 60x60 Dance celebrates its European debut this summer in London on Saturday 24 July.
Part of London’s Open Weekend, this dance event of break neck speed and excitement, cannot be better placed than in Stratford - the heart of the developing Olympic City, 60x60 Dance is fitting to celebrate the official two year countdown towards the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2012.
"60x60 Dance is an express without any delay...
But it’s this kind of madness that makes the cultural world go round."
(The New York Times)
60x60 Dance [London] is a partnership between 60x60 Director Robert Voisey, Dance Co-ordinator Adriana Pegorer, Producer Silke Arnold, East London Dance and Vox Novus.
